The van is your workspace. And another job to manage.

Traffic doesn't care about your schedule.
Driving between appointments, navigating city streets, searching for parking, and dealing with unexpected delays.
Even when your book is full, traffic can limit how many dogs fit in a day.
At Snout Studios: One consistent workplace. Clients come to you.
Add your drive timesYou're running two businesses.
Mobile groomers aren't just grooming dogs. They're managing a commercial vehicle.
- Vehicle loan and interest
- Commercial vehicle insurance
- Fuel
- Oil changes
- Tires
- Generator servicing
- Water tanks
- Wastewater disposal
- Repairs
- Mechanical breakdowns
- Vehicle cleaning and sanitation
- Registration and licensing
- Equipment servicing
- Vehicle depreciation
- Lost workdays from mechanical failures
At Snout Studios: Put more of your attention on the grooming business instead of a commercial vehicle. You stay responsible for your own equipment, suite cleaning and other business obligations.
Enter your van costsA small space for a big job.
Grooming is physically demanding. Confined spaces, limited room to move, equipment placement and temperature management all shape the workday.
At Snout Studios: A dedicated private grooming suite inside a professionally maintained building.
Even a bathroom break takes planning.
Bathrooms, lunch breaks, parking and personal errands often get planned around the appointment route.
At Snout Studios: A consistent workplace, so everyday needs take less planning.
Set your break timeIndependent doesn't have to mean isolated.
Mobile groomers often spend their days working alone. A difficult dog, a mechanical problem or an equipment failure can get stressful fast.
At Snout Studios: Run your own business alongside other independent pet professionals in the same building.
Your own business doesn't have to mean doing everything out of a van.

These apply to both models. Towels and laundry are part of membership, so the studio side counts them as $0.
Included in membership: your private suite with a Waggz LED table and high-velocity dryer, shared ramp-access tubs, towels, WiFi, utilities, cleaning, and a client lobby. A one-time member initiation fee applies and is not counted here.

Send your results to the Snout Studios team. We'll answer questions about membership, what's included, and which studio fits your clients, and set up a tour if you want one.

Questions mobile groomers ask.
Will my mobile clients follow me to a studio?
Some may and some may not. Clients who book mobile for the convenience of grooming at their door might prefer to stay mobile, while others are happy to drop off at a fixed location. Your client list is yours, and membership is month-to-month, so you can test the move before you commit your whole book.
Can I keep my van while I try a suite?
Yes. It's your business, so you decide how to run it. If a hybrid week suits your clients, enter both sets of costs in the calculator to see how the numbers change.
Do I set my own prices and keep what I earn?
Yes. You run your own business under your own name, set your own prices and hours, and keep 100% of what you earn. Snout Studios never takes a commission on your grooming.
What does the weekly membership include?
Membership starts at $450 a week in Echo Park and Downtown LA and $495 a week in Sherman Oaks. It includes your private suite with a Waggz LED table and high-velocity dryer, shared ramp-access tubs, towels, WiFi, utilities, cleaning, and a client lobby. A one-time member initiation fee applies.
What does the calculator leave out?
It's a planning tool. Results are before taxes and use four working weeks a month. They don't include the one-time member initiation fee, and van depreciation and equity are shown separately instead of in monthly cash flow. Fuel prices are estimates you can edit, not live data. Extra studio capacity is room in your day, not booked appointments. Use numbers you'd trust, and talk to your accountant before a big decision.
See the suite before you decide.
Numbers only tell part of the story. Tour an open studio, picture your clients in the lobby, and ask every question you have. Membership is month-to-month.
